Contemporary Art Asia / Art Fairs
ASIA NOW - Paris Asian Art Fair - is the only fair in Europe dedicated to the presentation of historical or emerging artists from all over Asia and supported by galleries located around the world;
Under the curatorial theme "GROW", ASIA NOW 2025 explored how ideas take root, evolve, and influence the way we understand and represent the world around us. Refering to the unifying slogan "My East is your West" Alexandra Fain, Asia Now's founder and director, wished to go beyond borders and the East/West binary to set a course for a new era. This year’s edition placed a strong focus on West Asia (Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bahrain, Lebanon, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Qatar) and South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal), foregrounding their expanding presence and influence on the global contemporary art stage.
This edition brought together 70 international galleries from all over the world. We could find in particular young galleries and emerging artists, in the NOW ON section.
As part of the Crafts section, the Manufacture de Sèvres presented a lecture with Céline Paul on the deep historical ties between the institution and Asia. The Musée Cernuschi presented a discussion with Pierre Gautier and Yoshimi Futamura on Japanese ceramics and contemporary forms of transmission.
